Job Description
Slingwave is seeking a part-time statistical modeler for winter/spring 2025 who is currently pursuing an advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. The modeler will utilize a variety of tools, including Meridian, Robyn, and Slingwave’s own R package to build media mix models (MMM) on client data.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Create MMM models to predict customer revenue and/or conversions using media spend and other exogenous variables as predictors
- Assess relative strengths and weaknesses of MMM approaches: Meridian, Robyn, Slingwave, Orbit KTR, etc.
- Use models to recommend optimal budgets across marketing channels for driving business results
- Develop visualizations and/or user interfaces to illustrate media impact/contribution, forecasting, and optimization
This role provides visibility into real-world applications of Bayesian time series modeling, and helps drive material changes to our clients’ marketing strategies that help to maximize the effectiveness of their marketing budgets. Candidates can be based in any U.S. location, so long as the candidate is available to work with their team and Customer base across time zones.
Location
This role is open to any U.S. location, requiring strong remote leadership to coordinate effectively across time zones.
