We’re Hiring – Sales Intern, Business Development (Internship, Remote)

Slingwave is seeking a Business Development/Sales Intern.

The right candidate will be one who works well under pressure, has an energetic presence, thinks out-of-the-box, easily initiates relaxed but informative two-way conversations with prospects, and is highly self-motivated. The right candidate will also understand how to assess a company’s needs and cater the outreach to each prospect specifically.

You will work directly with Slingwave’s Sales Support Executive, CEO, and a team of marketing-tech industry veterans who always strive for excellence. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced and rewarding environment where you will quickly make an impact, come work with us!

What You Will Do:

    • Help develop and perform sales strategies to draw in potential buyers or to build new prospect lists.
    • Initiating contact with potential customers through cold-calling, email, and other channels or responding to inquiries generated from inbound marketing efforts.
    • Creating relationships with customers to identify their potential needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive sales opportunities.
    • Be responsible for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to the sales team.
    • Moving leads through the marketing funnel, connecting them to the salesperson, and arranging video meetings, emails, or phone calls.
    • Research target companies and prepare executive summaries to prepare your Sales Executive ahead of their calls
    • Following up with potential customers who expressed interest in the past.
    • Performing regular follow-up calls or emails and facilitating communication with customers to ensure their satisfaction and identify new potential needs.
    • Collaborating with sales executives to ensure the company’s goals and targets are met.

What You Will Need:

    • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with excellent listening skills
    • Positive and energetic presence – You will be on the phone or sending messages with new people every single day and explain Slingwave’s value proposition as it relates to each individual you speak with.
    • Hustle – Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic
    • High level of integrity and strong commitment to building a successful business
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

    • Effective time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritize proactively and ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
    • Google Suite and Microsoft Office experience
    • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
